Join us on September 26th for the AAFA Allies Fun Run and Walk

Anthony doesn't let his five food allergies and asthma define him. He is an athlete, a student, and an advocate for the asthma and allergy community. This year, he's joining a nationwide community of fundraisers and supporters championing AAFA's mission to improve the lives of the asthma and allergy community by bringing the AAFA Allies Fun Run & Walk to North Carolina.

Join Anthony and the AAFA Allies community on Saturday, September 26 for a morning of connection, awareness, and action.

Together, we can create a future with healthier spaces, better treatment options, and improved quality of life for people living with asthma and allergies.

Where: Fred G. Bond Metro Park in Cary, North Carolina (100 Bond Park Drive)
When: 9:00 A.M - 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2026

Registration is $25 for adults, $20 for children ages 10-17, and $15 for children under 10

The timing of this event is especially meaningful. September is the start of asthma peak season because it's the time of year when a surge of seasonal triggers lead to more asthma attacks, emergency room visits, and hospital stays, especially among young children. It's a powerful reminder of why community support matters so much and why we're holding this event when it matters most.

More than 106 million people in the U.S. live with asthma and/or allergies. For many a walk outside, a day at school, or a good night's sleep isn't something they can take for granted. How well someone manages these conditions depends on more than medication. It depends on the air they breathe, the places they spend time, and the people around them.

You can make a difference by supporting the AAFA Allies Fun Run & Walk. Everyone is welcome to this family-friendly community event.

More on Anthony's Story

When Anthony found AAFA in 2020, he found something he hadn't had before. He found resources and support that helped him and his family manage his conditions with confidence. Grateful for the support his family received, he decided to pay it forward by fundraising to support AAFA's programs and raise awareness about these conditions and how to mange them. Since 2021 Anthony has raised over $30,000 for AAFA. This year, he hopes this event will raise $35,000 to support AAFA's mission.

"My hope is that all people with asthma and allergies have the resources and support to live their best life. The AAFA Allies event in North Carolina shows people with asthma and allergies that you can do anything you set your mind to."

Anthony's commitment and spirit is what this event is all about. Join us!
